Silk painting of butterfly wings in blue and black, close-up

Metamorphis
- the butterfly analogy

As a capsule collection, "Metamorphis - the butterfly analogy" deals with the process of change based visually on the anatomy and appearance of the butterfly.

Silhouettes are further developed starting from classic patterns: layers shift down, shapes dissolve and form anew, pattern surfaces vanish until only pattern lines dominate.

Material processing, choice of fabric and colouring in particular are strongly based on the butterfly. The intense blue of the collection refers to the inside of the emperor's wings, which in combination with light reflect colour, but otherwise appear grey. This capsule collection thus uses the non-colours white, grey and black as a basis and focuses on a harmonising colour palette of blue tones as a colour accent, which become stronger as the silhouettes progress. The hand-painted silk plays with the geometric motifs of a wing and the lines of the wing veins.
